Default Help w/ JSGME and Win 10

Ahoy mates,

How are things? I returned after many years away. I have a brand new computer and thought to try V1.4 again. Can someone pls help me extracting mods? I download them from nexusmod.com since they are free. I follow youtube vids that instruct me to put the mods into the mod folder. I do that but JSGME doesn't see the files. Any suggestions?

What is the proper order to load them and where to get for free? I remember there were fantastic mods that made the maps more realistic, fewer Japs flying overhead, more realistic medals, etc.

Thanks!

You're not going to find many mods that are still around for v1.4 of SH4. Most everything is geared toward version v1.5. You will probably have better success getting the v1.5 and using it than v1.4.

If you do find mods for V1.4 or any for V1.5, then you need an extraction utility. 7-zip is one of the best tools out there for extraction.
