Default LSH3 and widescreen 1920 x 1080

Thanks so far to those who have helped me get the game working. It seems to be working okay so far.

The one remaining issue is screen resolution. I have a large monitor and the stock SH3 plays fine on it. But when I switched to LSH3 I now have a vertically squashed screen with black bars on the side.

I have:

Enabled the GUI_widescreen mod.
Enabled GPU scaling
Enabled Maintain Aspect Ratio in my AMD card
Enabled widescreen option inside the game

Can anyone think of something I have missed?

Thanks.

Hi atc
Check your video settings resolution.
C:/Documents/V15/data/cfg/main
You can change the screen resolution in the VIDEO setting.
It should be showing 1920x1080

HI Peter,

I changed it. This is what it says now:

[VIDEO]
Resolution=1920 x 1080
FullScreen=Yes
Synchronized=No
DynamicShadows=No
ParticleDensity=100.000000
TextureResolutionHigh=Yes

Then I rebooted my computer.

Unfortunately, this has not solved the problem. I still have a square picture with black bars on either side.

I also did the same thing in the SH3 directory in Documents. I also did it to the cfg/main folder under the SilentHunter3 directory.

BTW, Do I always need to reboot the computer after making any changes?

No.
Settings showing are the same as mine.
One other thing worth thinking about is a Direct X problem?
Did you do the Steam conversion?

Hi Peter,

by Steam conversion, what do you mean? I got my game from Steam, yes. Is that a steam conversion?

Hi atc
You have 2 threads running basically asking the same questions.
Steam is not compatible with LSH3-2015
This useful conversion by VW opens up LSH3 for steamers.
