CTD resolution problem
I recently upgraded my monitor to one with a native resolution of 2560x1440. If I leave the Windows 7 64-bit desktop at a resolution of 1920x1080 then SH4 will run in either 1080 or 1440 with no problem. If I change the desktop to the "recommended" 2560x1440 then SH4 will momentarily display the initial loading message then CTD before the intro screen/poem. It does not matter which graphic resolution is set in SH4 when the desktop is at 2560x1440. I run several other games/sims without any problem with the desktop set at 2560x1440.
I am using an AMD Radeon 7870 video card with the AMD 16.3 driver. Any suggestions? Thanks |

Thanks for the reply. Yes, those are the settings I have. What I am currently doing is setting my desktop to 1080 and just run all my games at 1440. SH4 works fine that way and is beautiful at 1440. Still a strange problem though.

Hi Tshark
Go to documents\SH4\data\cfg\main Open the Main cfg file and check the video settings. Peter

I had a similar problem, right click the .exe file and check the compatibility tab, then find the "disable dpi scaling on high resolution" and check the box. May work, did for me.
