What about 2 people manning the deck gun .
Right side of the deck gun has the sight and vertical traverse .
Left hand side has the sight and horizontal traverse .
2 people needed to man the deck gun .

Unfortunately that would leave only 2 crew for the entire rest of the boat, and would preclude gun actions while playing solo.

The current game allows two operators (but doesn't require two) to sit in gun position right now, just choose to operate different controls ahead of time.
