SH3 New Install problems

Trying to re-install a clean copy of SH3 from DVD in order to use NYGM but keep getting 3 options on the install page :-
Modify
Repair
Remove
and no option to install a fresh copy of SH3 even though there is no existing game left on the system.
I uninstalled a previous game which was running successfully and checked that all files were clear but when I try to select one of the above options the system says there is no game installed but refuses to start the install procedure from the DVD?
How can I kick start the DVD to install?
Anyone had this before?
