Default 75 rounds of ammunition found underneath house, nearby homes evacuated

the sad sad state of reality we find ourselves living in when officials feel that this routine every day non emergency is declared a special event that requires emergency response teams and neighborhood evacuations

I'm assuming from the previous "shotgun shells" find that this is standard pistol or rifle ammo, and not a stash of 3" artillery shells.

Here in Utah if you call the cops with something like this, they'll either take it off your hands for proper disposal or tell you to call the local shooting range to see if they can use it for something.

says here it was 40 caliber pistol ammo http://gunfreezone.net/index.php/201...t-kidding-you/

not to mention the ammo can was all rusty so im sure it had been water soaked from being buried in the ground, but lets declare a state of emergency anyway lol

They do know that the turnout coat (the ones firefighters wear) will stop a round right? If it's not traveling down a barrel, the round loses all its energy rather quickly. You would think that being professionals they would be trained in that should say a store carrying ammo catch fire.

It would certainly be a big deal had this have happened in the UK but obviously not so in the US.
