Default Language barrier.

Anyone know the Ojibwe and or Dakota language who may be able to define what 'gwama' means? I have two examples of it used in the names of two individuals one male one female.

'Ke way te ne gwama yoush' and 'Mute Kud Ay Weenj Gwama'

My grandfather was Norwegian and grandmother from Finland both stronk nordic roots and names. Along comes their first daughter and her middle name is 'Gwama'. Both her parents died when she was young and nobody, not even she knows what the heck gwama means.

Granddad spent around ten years in the Dakotas before he married apparently he had a lot of contact with the tribes.

I recently emailed the tribes and universities in the regions but no answer yet. Just thought I'd throw this out there in case we have a resident genius lurking in the subsim community.
