Default Back on board after a long long shore leave

After a number of years (too many to count) have finally returned to SH4. Prior to starting again I had been watching some "Let's Play Silent Hunter 4 Again" on You Tube. Watching some of "Effin Controller" patrols I noticed that there seems to be more on the chart screen then what I have. There appears to be a graph on the right side and the control buttons and the gauges for speed depth and course are different in addition to an additional gauge showing ranges when using the manual attack method. Also it sounds like there is more "conversation" from the crew e.g. when a dive or surface is initiated. Is this part of the mods that are available or is this part of the 1.5 package of SH4?

He's using Real Fleet Boat and Run Silent Run Deep Campaign mods in addition to having version 1.5. I think there are versions of both of those for version 1.4 but I highly recommend getting 1.5 (U-Boat Missions) if you have the option. All the latest and greatest mods are for 1.5.

Speaking of mods: I don't think I ever played stock SH4 so I can't tell you whether the additions are the mods or not. But I suspect that RFB is the culprit you are looking for.

Welcome back and good hunting!

Default Thanks for the warm welcome back

Can I assume that version 1.5 is the SH4 Gold Addition with U-Boat missions?
