Windows 10 + High Res Patch (I'm going mad) :(

Hi,

I'm a Win 10 user (unfortunately it seems) and I just can't get SH3 to run in higher res than 1024x768.

I tried installing ACT (Application Compatibility Toolkit) and to the settings for the d3d9.dll settings manually, but it just won't help. SH3 just starts in 1024x768.

I changed all three cfg files, main.cfg in "Silent Hunter 3\data\Cfg\Main.cfg", the file in the root dir (d3d9.cfg) and the one in "C:\Users\Admiral Awesome\Documents\SH3\data\cfg\main.cfg"

Do you guys have any idea what I can do to make the fix work?

Currently the resolution is set to 1600 x 1200 ...

did u tried with Infinite_Screen take a look here
download that Infinite_Screen and give try for me work very well

Hi!

Try to run the sh3.exe in compatibility Mode for Windows 7, maybe this helps.

I had the problem resolved, it was because I had windowed mode activated. The mod doesn't work in Windowed.
