Icon9 Issues with Merchant Fleet mod

Hallo, kaleuns!

So, I've spent some time away from SH3 (problems in real life, you know) and I came back after watching Das Boot (again). And I stumbled upon the awesome Merchant Fleet mod, but I can't get it to load without a CTD. I'm using GWX 3.0, so maybe there is a issue between them? Could anyone help me with this, if there is some version that would run with GWX? It was version 3.2 that I've downloaded.

Nope, no conflicts with GWX. The problem is likely memory, as MFM is huge.

First, what are your specs? If you only have 4 gigs of RAM or less, it won't run. If you have more than that then you still need the 4-gig patch, which allows the game to use a full 4 gigs.

The best way to get that, and a lot more, is BL!TZKR!EG's Front End patch.

Ahh, thanks! I don't know the exact specs of my PC, but I do know that I have 8 gb ram installed. Will see about that patch and update the post if it works, but I'll do it tomorrow as I'm very tired right now. Thank you again.

Yep without the 4GB patch it will not load.

Thanks, everyone! Downloaded the patch, patched to the 4 gb version and it worked like a charm! More reason to sink all those beautiful ships. Thanks again!

thats a shame, i really wanted this mod to work and i didnt know what was causing the CTDs, too bad my peasant laptop only has 4 gigs
