I'm trying many environmental mods for SH3 looking the for best one (IMHO).
I've found at Plissken incredible site very well known MEP v5 from makman94, but version with green water. MEP thread is unfortunately closed now from unknown reasons for me, so I'd like to ask here. In vanilla version of MEP v5 there is optional mod "stock reflections", but there isn't in MEP v5 with green water pack. My question - can I merge this mini mod with MEP v5 green water with no problems (with visual sensors for instance)? Do you use green water version of MEP v5? It's better looking for me than stock one, what's your opinion about it? There is no info about that here, even in MEP thread. |

I use the MEP v5 with green water, but without the stock reflection add-on.
What is the difference between reflection that came with the mod, and stock reflection add-on? Here http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...87&postcount=1 on post #1 when I comparison the first two pictures, I don´t see a big difference...? ![]() |

I had the same problem like you - I didn't see any differences between those two screenshots. But take a look at those two pictures closely and you will see that colour of water is slightly different - more inky without stock reflections minimod.
When I enabled MEP v5 with green water and after that stock reflections optional mod I saw it more clear. Don't know why, but MEPv5GW + stock reflections has different colour of water than vanilla MEPv5GW. Standard MEP v5 (without green water) is too much inky for my taste, I prefer more grey shade, so I decided to choose green water version. MEPv5GW with stock reflections mod is the best for me now. |

Yes, you're right, now I saw a little difference, but not much. I don´t know if the stock reflection add-on compatible with the GW Version, because there´s no hint in the ReadMe of the GW Version! ![]() |

If you see the water from UP ("satellite view"), you see a greenish tone in the water. There is some greenish reflections, not too much.

I've made some tests and noticed, that with standard MEP v5 (non green water) and enabled stock reflections minimod colour of water is better for me and not so inky. I don't know if this minimod is compatible with MEP Green Water verson, so try to play with combo: standard MEP v5 + stock reflections minimod.
