"m" keyboard button messages diving to perisocpe depth-mod dfant_subflag_2010 patch

Hi friends

After installed the mod dfant_subflag_2010 patch, the "m" keyboard button to control the messages changed to dive to periscope depht and the button "Q" to open torpedo tubes and "W" to close torpedo tubes changed the functions..

Now i can´t see the messages..

How to properly configure and maintain the keys with proper function ?

You'll need to get yourself a copy of SetKeys from the download site here. Invaluable piece of software.

You can edit those yourself. Open SH3/Data/Cfg/Commands_en.cfg (or whichever command language you use).

The first line you want is [Cmd66]. Copy this:

[Cmd66]
Name=Toggle_radio_messages
Ctxt=1
Key0=0x4d,,"M"

...and paste it in place of that set in the Commands_en.cfg. That will restore the M key to take you to the Message Page.

Next do the same with the following two:

[Cmd310]
Name=Open_sel_torpedo_tube
Ctxt=1
Key0=0x51,,"Q"

[Cmd311]
Name=Close_sel_torpedo_tube
Ctxt=1
Key0=0x57,,"W"

Save it and you will be done.

Oh, you might also want to make a copy of the file before you make any changes. That way if it gets messed up you can just rename the copy to restore it.

Unfortunately that advice reached the extent of my experience. I've never had that particular problem, and if that didn't fix it I don't know what will.

The good news is that there are many members here who might know what is causing it. I'm sure we will get you sorted out somehow.

Radio messages blank? That's been known to happen if you have modded h.sie's hardcode fixes in, but have forgot to edit the new radio messages in as well.

I don't have h.sie's readme anymore as NYGM makes the changes needed automatically. Hopefully someone using GWX can help you out.

On the bottom-right hand corner of the screen you should see a bar that is marked something like EN, ES, PO, BR, etc., which controls the keyboard layout that you are using. If you do not see it (Windows 7) go to the Control Panel, Region and Language, and the third tab will be Keyboard and Languages. Under there you can click the first option, which reads "Change Keyboards." The first tab is General and the Second tab is Language Bar. Select the second tab and ensure that the tab reads: "Docked in the Taskbar." Click apply, then go back to the General tab and add in "English, keyboard, United States, International."

Then go to the language bar, select the English keyboard, and run SH3. If this has fixed the problem, then you're good. If not, then I don't know what to tell you.

this is the mods installed, I followed instructions to insert messages that are still blank, and pressing " m" still sinking to perisocpe depht and now does not even appear flag on submarine bridge.
