SHIII Crashes using SH3 Commander

I have copied my sh3 onto my exteral drive to play on my new computer. I started the game from my game icon and it started up okay. I started the game using SH3 Cmdr and the game crashes on entering the game start of mission.

I then went back into the game folder and start the game from the game icon and it crashes at the same point.

Any ideas on how to fix this, I would love to start playing this game again?

Your new computer Windows registry might be the issue. It has no entry for an install?

Instead of copying, install the game on the new system. Copy your My Documents/SH3 folder over to the new system too.

Same for SH3 Commander. Install it, not copy.

Still a no go, I installed a new game, patched to 1.4. all worked okay, installed GWX3, and it load okay the first time. added a mod, and game crashed. I will working on it. SH4 works just fine, but my heart is in SH3.

. Running window 8.1, and loaded the game on the desktop.

Did you roll back SH3C?
And do you have the GWX SH3C files?
