Hi everybody!
I am running DW 1.04 with the newest RA mod. 1.39 I have been looking everywhere for the solution to this problem. But havent found it anywhere. If there is a similar post on this forum i apologize but I couldnt find it. If Im using the FFG and having my helos drop buoys I can mark contacts once in the directional mode. But after that I am stuck with that LOB for the rest of that buoys life. Even if I go to the map and delete the contact, it wont even create a new contact/LOB. Am I missing something simple here? I am making sure I highlight one of the DOTs on the line. |

I guess they have hollydays right now.. but worth a try. I never play the FFG, so can't even begin to try to duplicate the problem ![]() |

I have the same problem, they way I did is to delete the old contact and forget this faulty sonobouy, droping new ones close to the latest contact spot.

I sometimes have this problem with OS-dropped sonobuoys, but the contact drop and re-establish will fix it, so this is weird, indeed. A friend and I were developing a program to actively update sonobuoy LOBs and give triangulations but we never finished it.

In this case sonobuys automatically update LOB. Because the option Autotracker not spread on sonar sonobuys. For example: Akula has 4 AutoTracker, kilos - 2 AutoTracker, Frigate 8 autotrakers. Therefore, bearing (LOB) update is made by the player or autocommand. In the same way, and active work stations - impulse always comes, but update the mark active sonar echo, player must itself." |

I figured it out finally. It might be that this is only a problem when you are using RA mod like Im doing.
Anyways, what you need to do is turn of link data. If you do that then you can update all you want. Interestingly I discovered another bug thats also very annoying: If you towed contacts, link off, and autocrew for TMA station; and then turn the link ON.... You can now say goodbye to some of your towed contacts forever. DOesnt mattter if you drop tracks and re-tag them or turn link off or whatever. Seem to be random which tracks you lose, but they are gone! |
