Default Help?

Just getting back into SH after a long, long hiatus.

Using the Wolves of Steel megamod - how the heck do I control the depth of my sub?

I cant figure out how to bring about or find the depth gauges to manually adjust it. If someone could provide a keymap that would be great.

Also - I can't seem to be able to plot points on the map for my navigator to follow or is that intentional? If so, good work, sailing around will be much more difficult lol.

Thanks guys!

Hi. I would suspect you installed the 'Real Navigation' portion of the WOS mod and as such will now have to navigate in a more realistic fashion. I think with JSGME you can pull the real navigation mod out if desired, but IMO it adds a ton of realism to the game.

I agree its fun to nav that way.

What about setting the depths? I remember there used to be a meter you could pull up and manually set how deep you wanted your boat to go.

if you look along the bottom of the screen between the speed display and the fuel level icon, you will see a button, if you left click it; you will turn on the advance control setting where you can select an exact depth and speed, alternately you can press control and then set your desired speed and depth.

How does crew management work in this one? Do I need to keep an eye on whos on watch etc ? How do I send the guys below deck or up top?

There's not much crew management to be done other than calling battle stations and ranking up your crew. You can't assign different crewmen to different slots or watches, but after a few victories you can use points to increase their skills (faster reloads, faster submerge times, more accurate gunnery, that sort of thing). Your deck crew will automatically take up and leave their posts as you surface and dive.
