Is there a way to add RA subs to the campaign?

I've been spoiled with the great subs of the RA mod, and don't even want to rattle around in the ones in the original campaign.
Is there an easy way to mod the available subs? Or will I have to do quick missions for a year until I feel secure enough to go multiplayer?

I don't see the problem. Using the mission editor I can easily make a mission with a playable Red October Typhoon vs playable Los Angeles Flt III in DWX RA. ( still v1.35 that is)

Editing the campaign on your own should not be impossible. If it's any good is up to you ofcourse.
