Default Land Rover, you are awesome.

Quote:
Cameras are a common safety feature in cars these days, but Land Rover has taken this type of technology to a whole new level.

Land Rover's Discovery Concept SUV – which will debut at the New York International Auto Show next week – has a new feature that provides full visibility of what is underneath and in front of the car by making the hood look transparent to the driver.

This new “see-through” feature, called Transparent Bonnet virtual imaging technology, has cameras and a full width display at the bottom of the windshield to make the hood look virtually invisible.

You need to see this:

Now this is a great idea, I could really use this on my car

And a latho that made you tell the truth.
Female talkin heads... ya gotta luv'em.

Do you take your car into 4x4 country often, Neal?

I had a customer bring his Olds Aircraft Carrier in for a repair one time. He and his brother were using it to haul hay into the fields for their livestock and bounced the thing on top of a big geode, wedging the BFR between the prop shaft and the body. My mechanic came and got me saying, "You gotta see this!"

I said, " OK, what is it?" " It's a N-head" he replied. Older mech and less than tolerant.

Just what I need - something else to distract me while I'm driving! What's that you say? Use it for off-roading only? Turn it off when you're on the road?

Okay, maybe I like it after all.

That's "lasso". AKA lariat, or rope.

Are my auditory organs going bad? I'd swear she replaced the "s'es" with the "th" sound trying to be cute.

If that system breaks down, it might leave you stuck in no-mans land.

The new Range Rover is so ugly that only Russians would buy it.
And a transparent hood ? Put a camera or two at the vehicle and project it on the windscreen.

This is the same as my VW 'Passat' Synchro, i guess you called them Qantum, over there:

And it's good for 200 km/h, on the road.
