Messages editor / mod(s)

I'm looking for a way to edit messages any mods or methods within the stock game to do so? I searched the game files but didn't find any message file(s) that I could edit.

My expertise is quite limited and I can bet yours isn't (LOL)

As I recall that can be done in the Mission Editor

What kind of messages are you looking to edit?

Obviously the inbound / received ones - SH3 has a couple of mods that either increased or decreased the volume AND, more importantly, with Notepad you can go in and edit them

Go here Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\Data\Campaigns\Campaign and find the file named messages.txt open it with wordpad or notepad.
