What the hell is the "integrity of the internet"

The internet is a public place where anyone can participate. GHCQ agents have every right to express their opinions or that of their employers on the internet like everyone else. They have the same right to take on different identities and banter like the rest of us. Hell, maybe some of our friends here on Subsim work for the GHCQ.

That the Brits, like any other PR agency, advertisment company, political lobby worker and so on, do that, is not shocking, the GCHQ just is an obedient servant of a deeply criminal and disgusting organisation called "state". Shocking only is the unbelievable willingness of ordinary people to not care for it even when learning about it, and to let this happen to them.

I have nothing against such methods, were they only used against the bad guys. Nothing against doing this against e.g. a weapon dealer, but unfortunately those are mostly regarded as the good guys.

However, AFAIK a lot of the NSA workers have already spied on their close friends, lovers etc.; lots of articles about this relatively 'harmless' ahem abuse (as long as you are not the target).
