This 6-Dial Slideout began life as the 4-Dial Slideout made by FLB-Sale, so he deserves credit for most of this mod. I used that mod for a long time, but really missed the accuracy and ease of use of the larger rudder. The graphics for the rudder and the telegraph were already in the mod, so it was a matter of much reading, a bucket load of interpolation and some trial and error. I was very surprised it worked as I have never done a mod like this. Indeed, if it had not been for FLB-Sale putting the original 4-Dial Slideout together I could not have done this. The biggest difference between this mod and the other 6-Dial Mods out there is that this one does not alter the Gui.
You'll notice that there are 5 versions of this mod, all of which are JSGME ready, providing you have not added a mod that has altered the menu_1024x768.ini file and the Dials.cfg file. If you have mods in use that have altered either of those files it would be necessary to edit them to make use of this mod. Any other mods should not matter. The versions are: 1. Stock/vanilla SH3 2. GWX3.0 3. GWX3.0 with Integrated Orders 4. hsGui with GWX v1 5. hsGui with GWX v2 V2 is for those that have the weapons officer torpedo solution button re-enabled and the sliding CE report re-enabled. If you wish to change the sliding speed simply open the menu_1024x768.ini, scroll down to [settings] and change it to whatever you prefer. It's the 3rd section down. Any problems using this mod please post them here and I'll see what I can do. Thank you to all other modders that have and continue to contribute to this community. I have tried this.
The dials come out one on top of the other like a stack of poker chips (kinda) with the one underneath poking up a little behind the one above it allowing selection once all are on the screen. Not sure if this is intentional. Good for those who like big dials |
