Default Destroyers

Hey

I remember in Silent Hunter 3, a lone Flower Corvette would give me a hard time in shallow waters, but in SH5 I simply dive and cruise away from every destroyer that's "chasing" me. Now, am I an awesome, unbeatable submarine commander or is it just that this game has destroyers with bad AI? I haven't been depthcharged and chased like I was in SH3 by destroyers in SH5 before.

If this has been posted before I'm sorry. Couldn't find anything about this anywhere.

You need the IRAI mod by TDW, this makes the AI extremely realistic and they don't just give up like in stock SH5.

But beware, this makes them about 100% more difficult to the stock game.

Welcome aboard Submerged VikingDo as advised ^ and then look for Fifi or Sober's mod list for new SHV players to start! Good Hunting!

Thank you guys. I have installed IRAI using JSGME and have played for a while now. Currently in Mare Nostrum. Don't see much improvement on the destroyers but we'll see later in the war. Thank you again.

By the way, if the Norwegian government decides to raise the wreck of U-864, I'll post some pictures on this forum

The difference should be noticeable immediately, unless it is not installed correctly.
