Mission briefings before I go on leave!

Is there any way to change the mission briefings from when I've just got back into habour till after I've gone on leave and I am departing base to go bak on patrol?

New Charts, Emblems, and RAOBF 16x9 ratio are my small tweaks that change .dds files.

I've never noticed this before till I made the effort to get back to port in time
for the Norway invasion. I've edited the 'data/Cfg/UPC.cfg' file to 22 days in port.
I get back to port on the 10th March so I can leave on the 2nd April but I
can't get a mission briefing to accept the Norway mission as it takes place on
the 10th March - so I miss the mission!

I'm thinking I'll re-edit the UPC.cfg file to 1 (or 0 days if I can) in port and end
the patrol and start a new one.

This is only one of a very few occasions where the date limit for an objective is very small (Scapa is another).
If the edit does not work (it should) you can go back a save game and re-enter port.
This time do not end patrol - just resupply (takes no time)
You do not need to select the objective in the briefing map for it to be active. You can just sail to Norway and patrol the marked area - this will count and objectives will be passed

I would always recommend that Captains alays select "end patrol" rather than "resupply" when entering port as this will cut down on the amount of info the game has to carry around and save - but on times like these it can be the only way to fit into the date.

On a finial note, it is ok not to achieve every objective. Your campaign can normally still be passed with one objective missed. Even if you campaign is not passed, your career will continue ok.
Most users do not like to miss objectives so try the tip above if your edit does not work.
