Default Here's one for you Skybird!

Since you love Steam so much

Didn't put this in the gaming section, since it's for television.

Quote:
Valve's big announcement is that they are developing an operating system designed for televisions called SteamOS. In addition to running many games natively, SteamOS will also allow streaming of games from your PC to your television.
As we've been working on bringing Steam to the living room, we've come to the conclusion that the environment best suited to delivering value to customers is an operating system built around Steam itself.

SteamOS combines the rock-solid architecture of Linux with a gaming experience built for the big screen. It will be available soon as a free stand-alone operating system for living room machines.

Link in quote. Have fun

In my opinion, gaming focused OSs should adopt a limited multitasking model like the iPhone before iOS 7.

Valve never really focused on multitasking APIs in their keynote, I really hope they adopt a background agent model.

My interest in gaming is waning with age not one year too early, it seems…

I wait for some cosmic event creating a huge, globe-covering EMP. That will be fun afterwards, with all our electronic cleverness gone and no Westerner remembering anymore how to live and do without these things…

That will become an extremely costly "victory" for the Merkelianists.

And for the tax payer even more so. He deserves it, however.

But I - I have not even voted for the AfD due to its self-contradiction when it comes to EU, Euro and Europe, so why do you think I consider the elections any important at all? Cosmic event? Well, on Sunday, by chance I had no cup of coffee in the morning as it usually is, but I went for tea which I occasionally do. That differences creates far more consequences on a cosmic level than the election results.

Obama should be happy with a 3rd Angie term.
He already has 2 wars going on, he doesn't need a 3rd (Europe trouble, politically).

And in the immediate future, it will be ok news for Germany and Europe. But that is only if you consider a progressive improvement in the European Economy. And the outlook is only for a year or so. Beyond that, it will be interesting to see how she copes.

EDIT: What is clear is that the immediate outlook for the next year or so is a inprovement in the euro zone's economy. Beyond that, Merkel will find it tough going. Even she will not be able to keep Germany on the top of the heap.
