Default High-Res Textures and SH 3

Question:

Does the game engine handle or render high-res textures?

Looking at doing some re-texturing of game content.

Before i waste my time with scaling of re-textures.

Thanks in advance.

Yes.

There is alot of textures out there. I'd look to see what you can find first. You might be surprised.

Indeed. I'm aware there are a lot out there. But high-res?
Haven't seen too many...

I would imagine the game engine can handle basic rendering duties but if one was to bump up texture rework to say, double or triple, it would not be pretty.

A newer system with lots of ram and the 4 gig stuff will allow alot of high res textures. Be warned that a large convoy can still drop you to your knees in a heart beat if all textures are high res!

Rescaleing the textures does not give you high res by the way.
