Default Firms grilled over tax avoidance

I wonder how many countless millions these companies are avoiding from paying over the years

Quote:
Starbucks admitted the Dutch government had granted a special tax deal on its European headquarters, which receives royalty payments from its UK business.
Quote:
Amazon and Google also confirmed they used favourable European tax jurisdictions for their UK businesses.
Quote:
Amazon's sales are handled out of Luxembourg, while Google's advertising space is sold by a team in the Republic of Ireland, the executives confirmed
How convenient

I'm living in the Netherlands, but fail to achieve the same deal as Starbucks has.

Perhaps there is something wrong with my home made coffee?

I must admit when I was living and working in Holland I didn't pay tax but my income went into my British based company account and UK tax as well as National Insurance contributions were charged on any company account withdrawals at the British rates in force at the time.

I thought that tax rules applied from the country were you actually got payed.

So when I am working in Germany while living in the Netherlands, I have to pay taxes in Germany.

They are talking about tax increases here in the USA by letting the Bush era tax cuts go Jan1st. They say it will hurt business and that they won't grow or invest in new business.

Perhaps it's the same over there with more taxes meaning less business growth.

GE general electric is a huge company with five billion dollars a year in profit and they pay no taxes with an offshore bank in Bermuda.

Big business knows how to save big money or else bribe someone

I was running a Limited Company (Ltd) registered in the UK and all payments were made directly into my UK company account.
