Default Former Senator George McGovern dies

A former well known US politician with an interesting post war history and IMHO far more importantly the holder of a Distinguished Flying Cross for bravery has passed away at the age of 90.

RIP Sir

While his politics were abhorrent and our country dodged a bullet not having him as President, he was a decent man and was sad to hear of his decline and loss.I read a great book about him in college, forget the name though.RIP

I have to applaud you on this one. You truly approach adequacy in the backhanded complement department.

A backhanded compliment on a backhanded compliment? Bravo, Steve, you've outdone yourself; my compliments..

As to the subject, I have to respect Senator McGovern-whatever you think about his politics he was one of the honest ones.
