How dumb can I be?

A loaded question, for sure, but here's my dilema...

During the SHIV quick missions and war patrols, I adjust the realism settings to my liking so that I have to manage batteries and fuel, monitor CO2, etc...

During the career campaign, the bloody game sets all of these things to unlimited, and no matter how many times I adjust the realism settings, they always default to unlimited. This has turned an exciting game into a bloody arcade-style shoot 'em up. Not what I expected, and it sucks all the challenge out of it.

I figure it has to be something I'm doing, but I'm buggered if I can figure it out.

So, how do I get the career campaign to accept my realism settings?

Go to the radio on the shelf before you go out on patrol. Adjust your setings and you should be fine.

Understandable. I forget every time I start a new campaign game. And have to restart the 1st patrol every time.

Rufus, Don't worry about feeling dumb here, this place is full of brainless people, Wernher, IGD, Magic, etc......You'll fit right in...

I don't know Hylander good enough yet to call him dumb....

I am glad I was not included in your short list. By the way, who the hell is IGD? I do not recognize the handle.

BTW, Is an internet forum a "place?" How do i get there? (It must be a secret military installation, because I cannot locate it on my Nav Map. or on the GPS in my car?)
