Default Is there a way to move where you click in CT(hatch) to go to deck

I really like having to do everything manually when it comes to where I am onboard the sub.I never just teleport to navmap,deck,command room,scopes since I feel that makes the game just a bunch of screens instead of trying to simulate being on a sub.If I am on deck and wanna go to command room I go down step by step using the space key which goes back from any screen I am on.

That is easy enough but I wanna automate a bit the going up part.I want the that the attack periscope is always in view when I click control tower.Then I wanna be able to click on either the top portion/middle portion/lower portion of attack scope body to allow me to go to those areas respectively....deck/attack scope/command room.

In past I have moved around my position in the control room but can't find where to control the allowed view angle would be.I wanna allow just a 45deg look left/right so that you can see the gauges on left and the TDC panel on right but attack scope always remains partially onscreen.Reason is I hate having to click up and have to use mouse to turn whether I wanna go up,to the scope or back down.I then would need to move the click spots centered on the hatch to command room and the one to deck to be on the top and bottom of attack scope.

Is this possible to do and if so anyone have an idea where to begin?

Hmmmm I have no idea right now, but I know that you can modify the "right click" that returns you to another station (Like when you are in the bridge, it brings you to the CT), so as last resort you should be able to use that by setting as "last destination" the bridge. So that if you are f.e. in the control room, a series of right clicks would bring you to the bridge.

Your right Hitman and I have entered in changes like that except I use SPACE bar.I can exit to CT from attack scope by hitting SPACE etc.I think its hardcoded to always go down instead of up though.

I even removed the F4 teleport to deck so I have to go thru the motions but only the deck since the nav map scopes etc need to work in unison.I feel it adds a subconscious feel that is lost when I teleport ala F4 and while barely noticeable I do "feel" it.

To finalize this feel when I go to deck I always turn off the hud.This makes it feel like your leaving the safe zone and heading out to the elements.I also removed the bearing indicator completely from binos and can say I have no problem at all finding ships after a few hours.The only issue now is asking for nearest ship which is not spoken but written in hud.

Default Moving Around

Hi Wolfstriked,
I used to prefer moving around the ship manually as well. Gives the feeling your actually travelling thro' the sub. In the command.cfg their is a GoBack command for each section of the sub. i.e.

[Cmd16]
Name=Periscope_camera
Ctxt=1
MnID=0x3F020003
Key0=0x72,,"F3"
Page=0x26000000,3702
GoBack=Conning_tower_camera

You can edit these, to send you from the comprtment your in, to almost anywhere, even things like captains log IIRC. I edited these compartment Gobacks to help navigate thro' the sub.
Hope this helps

Default Goback

p.s.
Forgot to mention this.
I think you have to go into setkeys and give "Go back to prev cam" a key shortcut for it to work.
Since SHV came out I dont play anymore and all files are removed from my HD, so this is all from memory. But I still like to take a rare peek into this forum and help if I can.

Good call I knew it was somewhere but couldn't remember where right now.
