Default What would you like to see in the next Fallout game?

I myself would really like to see Obsidian be involved as they where with FO:NV I think they did a very good job and FO:NV felt more like the originals more than likely because some of the folks at Obsidian worked on the old time Fallouts.Story/plot wise I would actually like to see something that takes place at an earlier date prior to the original Fallout I think something set at an earlier date has a lot of plot potential also it would be interesting to see the wasteland at a point in time much closer to the bombs dropping seeing how everyone is just starting to pick up the pieces and form settlements and trade.

I would also like for the choices that you make with in relation to various settlements and factions be much more ambiguous perhaps more situations where must pick one side or the other but at a point where you have little information about the two sides and you are therefore forced to make a much more sudden decision.

Setting wise I am not so sure we already have the west and the DC area covered maybe some new region would be interesting and makes things more fresh.

I would prefer Obsidian to be involved. New Vegas felt like Fallout was supposed to feel. However, as long as the Skyrim engine is used, which it almost certainly will be, I will be happy. Frankly, Skyrim with guns sounds pretty great right about now.

I would like someone to remake Soldiers of Anarchy with the Fallout 3 or Skyrim engine from a 1st person perspective......

Just sayin.

I'd rather Fallout 4 be Todd Howards team.

I feel like NV fleshed out alot of features and was a good game but when it comes to Beth I feel like Todd is the guy that blazes new creative trails.

Fallout 3 was a GREAT game. NV was just Fallout 3 but a little better.

So yeah I will support Fallout regardless and buy the next one, as I will all Skyrim content and the next Elder Scrolls. BUT I feel like if Todd isn't in charge of Fallout 4 and its not his team then it won't be as good, I don't really want obsidan mucking around in the Skyrim engine making a brand new Fallout experience. PLEASE leave that to Todd Howard and Co.

Out curiosity at what point do you get introduced to the Fallout line?I ask because I do agree that FO3 was great but it did lack to some extent the feel of its forebears it certainly was a good and fresh take on the Fallout universe but it just lacked the Fallout lore feel for me.I notice that the old school Fallout fans seem to like FONV more and the folks that got introduced later tend to like FO3 more.

Why not have both the FO3 team and the Obsidian FONV team all work together?I think that would make a really good game after all from what I gather Beth handed FONV to Obsidian so they could focus more on Skyrim and I think they also wanted to see what ideas they had for Fallout I think it was a dry run so to speak for future collaboration. There is no denying that FONV uses alot of plot elements from the canceled Fallout Van Buren (aka Fallout 3) so I would like to see something completely new come along.

I played the original Fallout for the first time in 2004, a friend of mine was shocked I never heard of it and let me borrow his copy. I loved it. I then went on to buy Fallout 2 and enjoyed that.

I know what your saying with NV the dialogue is better, the entire game is more fleshed out then 3. Its better then 3.

However I still feel like NV is just an expansion a nod to the origin if you will classy on Beth's part and a financial success, a great addition to the rich Fallout universe and I would LOVE them to do something after Fallout 4...

I still want Todd Howard to make Fallout 4 though. At this point its no secret if you like Beth because of Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, and/or Skyrim... Todd is that guy and fact is he is the Golden Goose of Beth I want him behind the controls.

I know Obsidian will do the franchise right, and make it more to its roots, but I know Todd will make an amazing game let his track record speak for itself. The worst you can say is the buggy release thing, which ALWAYS gets cleared up for the most part via patches Beth games always tend to have a few immortal bugs as is the poison of such huge worlds. However he is no peter molyneux, Todd Howard delivers on his promises, and makes great games.

Obsidian doesn't have alot going for it these days. Alpha Protocol was barely average. They had a host of blah games, and of course they took NV and made a great game but honestly they took Todds baby and polished it up.

This is of course just all my opinion and probably even unfair to some extent but Todd Howard just hasn't let me down yet and has really given us some great games.
