Steam install location and edit cfg files?

Does anyone know where Steam installs SH3? I want to edit some cfg files, but I can't find the directory with SH3 in it. I can edit the career cfg that's stored in My Documents, but I want to edit the other cfg files as well.

Also, does anyone know where I can find the stuff I can edit to make zooming with ctrl possible? And where I can find info on how to edit how much renown my career starts with or makes during missions? I remember I found it on here a few years ago, but I bought a new computer yesterday and installed SH3 on it, but wasn't able to copy over my old cfg files, and I don't remember where to go to edit them. Any help would be appreciated.

To edit renown at career start, edit /SilentHunterIII/data/Cfg/Basic.cfg

[RENOWN]
RenownReachGridObjCompleted=0 <= change as desired
RenownPatrolGridObjCompleted=0 <= change as desired
CompletedPatrol=0
NEUTRAL=-1 <= if you want to sink neutrals without penalty, remove the minus sign; make it "1"
ALLIED=1
AXIS=-10
WrongShipSunk=-5000
FirstRankRenown=1000
SecondRankRenown=3500
EndCampaign=-5000

What about ammo for my deck gun and flak cannons?

Stock right now. I'm trying to remember all the mods I had installed on my other computer, but I can't figure it out. I'm currently downloading GWX though.

I did figure out the ammo one, but the renown I'm still only starting at 500. I was hoping to start with more.
