Default CTD ?

Hey all, I've a question for yas, I am in a career mode, In the Asiatiac theater, Got a message base move from Manila to Sarabaya, Patrol went fine, I am trying to enter sarabaya from the Java Sea side,
Every time I get close I get the Infamous CTD, with the message SHIV has encountered a problem and must bloody well close !
Has anyone else had this issue?
I tryed to defrag and even set my graphics back to the vanilla version,
Idea lads ?

If you have more than 2gigs of ram, install the 4gig patch found in the d/l section. This utility allows SH4 to use more than 2gigs of memory. This will probrably cure your crashes when entering harbors. I had the same issue with harbors and large convoys. This fixed the problem for me.

I recently had to do a complete reload and am running V1.5.0.0 according to the Win7 Properties for SH4.exe (not in the root directory). I had also been encountering the occasional CTD and on reading the above realized I hadn't reapplied the 4Gb patch. When I tried to run it, I got a message that the patch would not apply because I had an unidentified version of SH4. I had unloaded all the mods, so I should have been looking at a bare-bones SH4 patched to 1.5. Any ideas on what version I should be applying tha patch to? Thanks!

Thanks to Captain Jan Kyster, I was pointed to the Large Address Array utility in an another thread - That did the trick! If you still have problems with CTDs, try this: http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=112556

Good Hunting, Captains.

Try this one: http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=112556

It just now worked for me; Also, when you click on the previous link I provided, the "404" page has a link below the large "404" for the Large Address Array forum. That one takes you to the one posted here.

Good luck!

Okay then, I found the issue, It was a mod, I am not sure which one as I had so many installed, Now I run TMO 2.0 with the patch, RSRD and it went grand, I'll add the mods singulary till I find the offending one,
Cheers all,
