Default Liars' Brains Wired Differently

http://www.usc.edu/uscnews/stories/11655.html

Could this be a new way to find out if a criminal is lying?

Not that I can see from the article but it may be an indicator as to a persons ability to lie.

No, criminals cant be prosecuted in any direction on that, nor their word taken for granted any less/more than it is now. an honest person can and does lie every once in a while. A criminal could do the same thing. a pathological liar could be telling the truth just as easily as anyone else, because usually criminals tell the truth when their about to have their lifes thrown away.

But it is interesting...

It's also scary. Imagine a persons ability to lie being a detriment to getting a job.

What about "social" lying you know white lies nearly everyone does this to some extent.Of course a pathological liar and a normal person telling a social white lie are very different.People who commit crimes are necessarily pathological lairs it depends on the person some people will admit to something fairly quickly after getting caught.

@August I wonder how the typical career politicians brain would scan?Imagine if they got a brain scan before campaigning and the results where made public.
