Renaming multiple files in random number order

I have 2 mp3 players that play sequentially not in a random order so when it comes to a group of songs by the same artist they play one after the other, most annoying!!

What I need since there are a few hundred songs is an app that will rename the files in a random numerical order, (not asking for much am I

) does such an app exist?

Such a tool was included in one of the SH3 SuperMods. We will find that, wait a bit...

This little tool was included in HanSolos WarAceCampaign 4.1 and works for MP3 ONLY...

Thanks once I got through translating the German it worked extremely well!!

Edith: I am going to delete that file on Sunday, because the guy who made it disliked "third-party-hosting".
