At least in the Flight section it'd stay on the front page for a year or two, here in GT it'll be gone in a day, covered in crap, a hello or two, lolcats, sexy women, a sunken boat, some jokes, and the odd post that is meaningful to somebody.

Hell, I'd put it in the Flight section as well as GT.
