CAN NOT COMPLY AFTER 5-14-1945

I managed to get to 5-14-1945. I get a nice refit at Fremantle with a new paint scheme and a few upgrades. The only issue is after this refit the boat won't move. No matter where I start, in port or out, all I get is ..."can not comply" when I try to start the engines. Nothing is wrong with the crew, no fatigue. Tried battle stations and without, under water and surface but nothing.

I can go out replay a previous save, head back to Fremantle but no matter what I do after the upgraded refit all I get is ... "can not comply". Even if I save the good save once I hit the refit it is bonkers and the refitted upgrade is not something I can skip it is automatic.

Has anyone else had this issue and if so was it rectified? I would love to get to the end of the war ... but I can never get past this date.

I have the stock game plus Trigger 2.0

Thanks

Mark

One thing you can try, is ending the patrol, and starting at the of May, or beginning of June. The war should end around the middle of August. See if that helps.

I did have something similar 3 or so years ago, but don't remember how I corrected it.

Oh! One last thing, have you tried plotting a course to get started? That can sometimes get it rollin' for ya. Just try it out of port.

Once I have everything loaded in base it begins my next mission the first week of June so the date didn't help. I even tried turning right around and re-docking but still no go on the engines. I did not try plotting a course so I will give it a go and see what happens.

PS tried to plot a course but no go ...

Have you checked your crew because if they are all in bead or no ones in the engine room then that's your problem.

U-boats work, single missions work, everything but this career. The career works fine as long as it is from before May14th and the final refit from that point on nada. It is only the engines that are affected. All other systems work normally.

Even disabling the TMO did nothing ... all engines after the refit are toast and will not work

Are you saying that some of your crew are at battle stations here?

I know I had something like this happen a long time ago, and can't remember the remedy.

Okay, after the refit, have you tried just for the heck of it, to transfer to a different base of operations?

I know it happened to me once before, but that was in the old TMO 1.5.2 days, back in like 08, so trying to recollect something from alomost 4 years ago, is rough.

Just try it, for the heck of it. Sometimes changing your home port will cover the glitch.
