Default getting into the configuration files

I am running a vanilla SH3 with the simple mods. NO GWX, etc. Problem is, I have a new computer with Win 7. I had no problem installing the game. However, to go into the config, I get this message that there are no files that support this. Any ideas ?

How do you mean you want to change the cfg file, or make general settings....

Just make general settings changes. Such as ammo amounts, rank, etc.

There are basic cfg files, where changes can be made....so Ubisoft / Silent Hunter / data / cfg...och where you can arrange to change the ammo etc, but make sure that the same cfg, corresponding to the cfg , there are at any mods you use,,, so that no conflicts arise.

Notepad will allow you to read and change the .cfg files, you just need to select it from the list the first time, then Windows will remember it for the next time.
