Default Some Info/Request

I was wondering about the "stabilised view" option in the Gameplay Options. I'm going to assume that the TBT was a somewhat stabilised unit, and while makeing an observation through it, the view wouldn't be bouncing and rolling all over the place. On the other hand, a watchmen useing binoculars would be subject to the pitches and rolls of the boat.

If this is true, is there a way to have a stabilised view when looking through the TBT (and the periscope if applicable) and an unstabilised view while looking through the binoculars?

By the way, Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Captains! Have a good one!

The original TBT was similar to the German UZO, being simply a mounting for a pair of binoculars to transmit the target bearing to the TDC. Later TBTs held a pair of binoculars in a permanent watertight housing. There is nothing to indicate that there was any stabilization at all. The hand-held binoculars were probably more stable, since the person using them automatically adjusted for motion.
