Mod choice help and where to get them

Hey guys

I have been looking around to find some mods to use. I am running GWX 3.0 and want to get some better graphic performance for 1920x1080 if possible, also some game play tweaks as sinking the same ships over and over again is boring.

Sorry if this comes up all the time I have been looking around and I have seen some advice but I am mostly having trouble finding the mods themselves.
