Newb needing some advice
Hello I am about to start my first patrol or I would be but I have a problem.Mission orders are to depart Wilmshaven and patrol Grid ref BF10 except I cannot find BF10.I see BF11 to BF 19 then it jumps to BF 21 like BF 10 BF 20 is missing I also cannot see BF01 TO 09. My wife even had a look and even she could not see Bf10.
I Have GWX3 installed. |

...hello Sea Wraith, and welcome aboard.
i dont think there is a BF10 - ive seen this question asked before some time ago. you could exit your current patrol and start again to see if they'll send you somewhere else - or go it alone to the same grid like BF13-15. its usually quite busy there. but dont worry, others will be along with their advice too.

Are yu using SH3 Commander and if so do you have the GWX CFG file Commander enabled? If your using Commander simply type in a grid of your choice and if not, dock at base and start another patrol.

BF10 does not exist. This is a known bug.
Feel free to patrol wherever you like, or start another patrol.

Thanks for the replies I have restarted my career and this time it gave me BF19.As it is Aug 1st 1939 in my new career I take it I am not allowed to shoot any ships yet.

On my 3rd patrol have decided for this one to patrol the east coast of Scotland I will lay off the coast of my real life home town and see if I can get some single merchants that way.Nailed a tramp steamer half way acroos the north sea with the deck gun.
Question When I press[ or ] that will turn me either port or starboard but for rudder amidship it says press a key I don`t have on my key board am I missing something. the key looks likw this "`" but it is not that as it does not center my rudder.

I am confused I was 61kms east of the border of AN01 at a depth of 24m`s.My sonarman alerts me to a merchant at 002 at long range,Surface and make my way to find it.The merchant is a Norwegian large merchany 8760 tonnes as he is in British waters I consider him a legit target.
Launch a torp at 3500 metres and it hits but he changes course so I increased speed and course I also placed a ruler line along his course,I get into position and he has vanished I even sailed back down the courrse of the ruler line. He has simply vanished,My sonarman cannot hear him My WO is resting as he is exhausted.Has that happened to anyone else any idea as to where to look. |
