Default Airline Passenger Dress Codes?

Quote:
American's policy states that it can refuse to transport you, or may remove you from your flight for reasons including "being clothed in a manner that would cause discomfort or offense to other passengers."
Hmm... I fnd religiously restrictive headwear offensive, so that woman in the burqa and that gentlemen with the yarmulke must leave this flight.

OK, obviously that's an extreme - but given the overly litigious nature of people looking to score a quick profit from a lawsuit... [/shrug]

I dunno... haven't decided which side of this one I'm coming down on yet.

I think that, if we're subject to patdowns, we should be patted down by members of the TSA whom we find attractive at some level, and should be allowed to pat back.

Yeah, but everyone'd then be over the "two bag" limit.

Okay, here are a few things that I think we should be fine with being "imposed".

1. No religious headgear/saris/head wraps or anything that obscures the face.

2. Nothing ridiculously large or obnoxious (like a Halloween costume)

3. Nothing ridiculously revealing.

Personally, I always wear jeans and a button up/sweatshirt just because it can get pretty hot or cold on a given flight.

Oh, one more...

4. No smelling bad. Good God, I mean, deodorant isn't expensive. I've flown next to people so bad that I volunteered for the exit row just to get away from.
