I was wondering is there a way to get to use the 3rd Flotilla in GWX? In the manual (yes I read it, will read anything on long patrols LOL) it says with the Alternate flotilla mod, it replaces the 11th Flotilla with the 3rd. I have not been able to see or get to use the 3rd. Am I doing something wrong.
I install sh3, then GWX, SH3 commander 3.2 and then the activate the alternate flotilla mod. I have the use historic U-boat availability date turned off in sh3 commander. Any and all help would be appreciated. Sink em all ![]() |

Thanks for the reply, but my sh3 commander only shows the 11th Flotilla. It does not show the 3rd/11th Flotilla like your pics do. When I look at the 11th flotilla is has 10/41 to 8/44 Error.
If you let me know how to do a screen shot of the commander and other screen using windows 7, I can attach them. I also used the GWX.cfg for commander. |

If it doesn't show, it was not activated by JSGME into the game or was activated and then overwritten.
Sometimes the file structure of a mod adds a second file which interferes with the activation. If this occurs the mod will be in the SilentHunterIII folder and has not been activated into the data folder. If it were overwritten, JSGME should have warned you. The final possibility is that the mod is corrupted.

Thanks for the reply, I un installed all. Re installed SH3 (fresh install), GWX SH3 commander and only activated the alternate flotilla mod and it showed up.
I usually install MEP 3.0 and the MaGui mod, and the GWX Whilhelmshaven, St Naz, Schluese and xtra ships V6, TMT v2. Do you know or think that one of the last 3 mods modify the flotilla.cfg file (I think that is what is). I will try each mod and see what it changes or it lists as error or conflict with them. I have played GWX ever since I got SH3, and really love the mod. The best out there IMHO. Thank you for all the help so far ![]() Just a quick update. I started installing each mod one at a time and checking to see if the 3rd was still there. Magui F seems to be the problem one. I installed it and no more 3rd, uninstall it 3rd is back. I checked the list of conflicts, I did not see a flotilla.cfg file being replaced, so I am not sure which file is doing it. I will try the GWX Whilhelmshaven, St Naz, Schiuese V6 and see if it does anything. Again thanks for the all the help I really do appreciate it. Last edited by Shado; 08-03-11 at 07:16 PM. |
