Gentlemen,
I'm teetering on the brink of buying Sub Hunter 5. It looks absolutely fascinating! Prior to doing so I wonder if anyone might post the computer specs which would allow me to use SH5 with most "sliders" full, or close to full, open and with a good, nonstuttering, frame rate. .....or if you're happy with your current performance you might just post your current specs here. Fair winds, starry skies, and smooth seas, Quink |

Minimum System Requirements:
OS: Windows XP (with SP3), Vista (with SP2) or Windows 7 CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 / AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ RAM: 1 GB (WinXP), 2 GB (Vista, Win7) Graphics Card: 256 MB DirectX 9.0c-Compatible (Nvidia 8800 GT / ATI HD 2600) Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c-Compatible HDD: 10 GB Recommended System Requirements: CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 / AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ or higher RAM: 2 GB (WinXP, Vista, Win7) Graphics Card: 512 MB DirectX 9.0c-Compatible (Nvidia GTS 250 / ATI HD 4670) HDD: 15 GB As you can see it doesn't require a super computer to run it. However, don't ever bother with minimum requirements if you want to play a game, that's both enjoyable and fps acceptable. Always go for recommended. Another thing is to try this website: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ it will online scan your system and suggest yay or nay. I've got 2 rigs that i've run SH 5 with, main rig: i7, 12GB RAM, ATI HD 6990, 1000W PSU and as you can imagine, full throttle on this game. My 2nd rig has i3, 4GB RAM, GTX570 and 750W PSU, once again, full steam ahead with this game. Post your specs, Kaleun, let's have a look. |

Core2Duo E7300 2.66, 2Gb RAM, nVidia GTS 450, Windows 7 x64 (yeah, really a budget machine).
Playing with all sliders maxed out, only AA is overridden in nVidia Control Panel (in-game AA settings don't seem to work). All good, except for the occasional lag when I forget to close some apps prior to launching the game (read: probably need more RAM). Seems that devs rested on cheap beauty though: GPU goes really high even inside the sub. So much for spending 90 percent of the time on the map, and the rest 10 percent - seeing a very limited area which is most probably 90 percent water ![]() |

It really depends on your Budget if you could give abit more info i could probably give you some options..
I personally have: i5-2500k 3.3Ghz Processor MSI P67A-GD53 (B3) Motherboard 4GB Crucial Ram (cant remember timings) MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB Twin Frozr II 600watt PSU Antec One Hundred case Cost me about £600-£650 but i get a discount as I work of an IT company. SH5 works fine for me. |
