Default Frozen Synapse

Guess it's time someone made a thread about it.

If you don't know what it is, head over to http://www.frozensynapse.com/

or

take my explanation: Rainbow Six planning screen meets X-Com/Jagged Alliance

Rock, Paper, Shotgun preview:
http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2010...rozen-synapse/

TotalBiscuit's (aka Cynical Brit's) 30min preview:

Amazing game, can't say much more. Just awesome.

For some online in-game match examples (without all the planning), you can check Arclight's channel or mine.

Fun, fun, fun (you know, like in that one girl's vid).

Was thinking: this one deserves a thread. Saves me the trouble.

And yes, excellent game. If you've got a tactical mind it won't disapoint. Relatively cheap too and comes with a free copy to give to a friend.

You can play with people at will too, they don't need to be online. Turn gets uploaded to a server and the other player is notified that he has a turn waiting. It's a streamlined, modern way of doing PBEM I guess.

Saw it advertised on Steam this afternoon (hopefully my boss isn't on this forum!), don't think I saw enough to make me want to buy it, but I guess it could be addictive when you start playing!

You'll all probably rave about it and then when I do decide to buy it, everybody will move onto Frozen 2ynapse - as I've no doubt it'll be called.

This is not the sort of thing to make a sequel for, and it's not getting removed from my drive. Ever. Not gonna happen.

Not normally one for shameless bumping or promotion, but really, it's good.

Did we mention it's only $25,- and that that gets you 2 copies? If you have a mate that's interested you can't go wrong. Or you can essentially get it half price if you can convince the bugger to chip in.
