Default Mac lovers do it with BootCamp

I'm a 100% Macintosh Man as a rule. Other than Silent Hunter I see no reason to have a Windows PC. I used to have a piece of junk PC that a friend made up for me purely for playing SHII. I have had SHIII for ages but could never justify buying a Windows machine just for the game.

I then discovered Boot Camp. (For non-Apple people this is a Mac utility that allows you to partition the hard drive to format part of it as Windows).

I thought I would give it a try and I am now playing SHIII through Windows XP on my MacBook Pro. True it does crash out occasionally, but not too often to be a real bind, and I can stay with the Mac that I love.

Anybody else tried it this way?

I'm curious as to why you outright refuse to use a windows computer, thus being a self claimed 'mac-guy'.

Ah man, don't do that! There are enough Mac vs PC discussions all over the web, please don't drag that in to the sh3 forum

I've used both operating systems for many years. Switched to a MacBook Pro 5 years ago. I use Boot Camp as well.

Game plays just fine, except I can't run the Merchant mod with my rig. I wish my keyboard had a number pad, but I suppose I could just get a separate USB keyboard.

Or just a separate USB Number Pad?
