Default Flak gunner

Anybody know of a way to have the flak gunner standing by his weapon, without sending the lookouts below?

It works with a dead sailor, afair.
Not sure about the correct order.

Man the gun with a dead crew member, then order to man the bridge. The dead body will not move into the sub.
Now drag a crew member over the dead body and they will switch positions, but the bridge stays manned.

Don't remember if he works as intended, but the conning tower is crowded for a screenshot.

This way you can have no crew at the dive controls in the control room too. Man the crew positions with dead corpses and they stay invisible in 3D.

I like that. Everybody has to due their duty, even the dead guys!

I was about to say no, until reading this. Worth a shot.

Note to file:

1. Add two extra seamen to your crew before leaving port.

2. Alert the RAF to arrange a meeting time and place shortly after departing the base.

3. Station the "cannon fodder" crewmen on the bridge

4. At the appropriate time, call the valuable officer and petty officer of the watch down to join you for coffee.

5. Assign disciplinary bridge clean-up duties to current crew "bad guys"

Unfortunately, upon return to base, SH3 will remove the bodies, so you'll have to repeat this process at the start of every patrol.

The downside is that you and your boat will both quickly gain a nasty reputation in the flotilla Replacement Pool.

On the contrary, you'll probably be commended for finally having found a good use for Bernard.

So that's what those Mausers are in the conning tower for.
