Footage on BBC News shows it to be a Lakenheath bird 91-0304 both Crew ejected and are ok.
Both the aircrew are with the rebels but the problem is....how to recover or destroy the sensitive kit on board? Either way...how can it be done...Special Forces or bombing from the air? |

I recall a few F-15Es were also shot down by surface fire during the Gulf War.

I've read that myself somewhere but never looked further into it....and this bugga surely has come down but probably due to mechanical failure.
I'm just pleased both aircrew are okay and haven't been killed. |
