Default Who works "real-time' ? :D

That would be = who shadows, and attacks , and evades a convoy and/or its escorts in real time of you guys? On a technical note, it's possible given the 'right' gear. My lap has this stand, and I do maintenance twice a month. So far so good.

I do it mostly with 'special' convoys, and mostly when I'm doing bad company on ps3, or prepping a sandwich or kaffee, or even watching NCIS solo in my berth .. Mostly I take it dead serious with anything peculiar over the hydrophone, till I end up sometimes frustrated by running into a Large Passenger Carrier, or a Modern one. I decide to go ahead either ways.

Another proposition, which of you has a real life exec, sort of kin or friend, willing to do so? My little brother does and we trade places between attacks, and even he has this AOB device on him which he laminated and ringed. I guess its kinda fun to act like a real skipper. . Sometimes when he shoots all 6, and all miss, I have to turn to "mommy", and start soothing him down. "Its fine sweetie, well do it again"
He sometimes wants to be the torpedomansmate, though on reloading times, he actually starts whining "can I go make a sandwich?", or "Can I play one Search and Destroy?" I have this overwhelming love that as were getting DCd, I give him a go order

Once I get a contact and start tracking it, I'll very rarely go to time compression. I will make frequent use of the pause button to deal with real life and do some calculations, though. Pretty soon, I'm going to try moving the plotting to paper, or doing calculations and plotting in real time.

Sometimes when I'm stalking or being stalked I'll risk going as high as 32x, but mostly I stick to real time during combat phases.

I tend to remain in real-time from first contact and throughout the approach, attack and evasion phases. However when doing long end-arounds and when the target and own tracks are obviously diverging will occasionally up the TC to x4 or x8 maximum. Otherwise unpleasant things can happen too quickly to cope with.

Mostly stick to real time when stalking, and attacking. At least until I am able to get a good idea of the DD patterns on the side I am approaching from to set up a firing solution. Once i have their patterns estimated, I will go to 4 or 8 TC just because I'm impatient, and i like seeing them Japanese boats go up in a big ball of flame, and settle nicely in the waves, and know that I made a bunch of the Sons of Nippon happy as they go to see their anscestors.

Single merchants might be cause for a little TCing (32 or 64X) with me but, larger convoys and warship TFs require real time attention.
