Default Noobie trying to make a submarine

So I got interested about making a sub for myself I'd be happy enough with a square block which can shoot and as I'm not very good with any program that I could use for making textures so I guess it'll be that

Anyway, in case I manage to got a model done how can I add it in the game? So is there any tutorials for that or is anyone willing to teach me a bit..? Also does it require some program? I have S3D.

Thanks in advance and happy & productive hunting

EDIT: I went to test my skills in modeling.. Apparently Google SketchUp isn't as simple as it looks xD Well, I made something between a brick and an aircraft carrier.. And yea, don't tell me now that every part of the ship has to be done separately and later added to it..?

Took a rough print screen and here is what I've got done:

It's certainly unique....

I have an idea for you. Instead of trying to model your own sub right away why not try adding one from the warehouse on google.

It's a great place to find decent models and there free as well.

But if your adamant about adding Brick...... Well it should be easy enough

I myself am trying and failing in my attempts to model a submarine, but I am striving to give the game a Nimitz carrier and possibly a small surprise also if all goes well.

Well right now the look of it isn't the important thing, especially in case I download some other model. The question is that how do I add them to game? I wouldn't mind even if I'd need to replace some existing sub with this.. Doesn't it look a bit like S-42 btw?

I believe that the model also probably need some "collapse points" which makes it unable to go trough things..

Adding it is rather easy, my carrier was a handful.

Just find a model you like, Convert to obj, try adding it to the s3d .dat file of a submarine, if it goes in then great if not send it to someone like polyfiller, keltos or some of the other modders we have around here.

Once it's in game the real fun begins, that's were i am atm lol.... thou the texture needs some work

Sounds very good Can I have a link?

I remade the boat a bit, it looks a bit more like a submarine now but still needs some improving in case submarines are supposed to be pretty circular..

And that Yellow submarine gives me an inspiration.. And never forget That we all live in a yellow submarine
