Default Ijn yubari

Sirs,
is there any way one can add a IJN YUBARI Light Cruiser to the ship selection list within the mission editor? Has such a ship been created and if so, how does one add it to the mission editor's ship selection list.
Thank you.

I did some research on this "Yubari" ship. Yes, it was built between 1922 and 1923 as an experimental scout cruiser.

Link to Wikippedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanes...er_Y%C5%ABbari

Now, as for adding it, one would have to create a visual model to put into the game. And unless there's a model of the ship floating around on the internet, it may take a while to build. Then he/she would have to make certain files so the ship would sail properly; it wouldn't have to be dead-on realistic, but believable for a 4,000 light cruiser. And also some many other odds and ends that i wouldn't know what to start with.

You'll have to look around on subsim, I'm sure you'll find someone able to help you out (i can't because i don't know squat about modding, lol).

Oh, and dispense with the "Sirs," ya landlubber! Just call me Peggy!

I might be wrong on this, but I believe that the Yubari is already amongst the list of Japanese ships you'll find in the ME in TMO 2.0. I'm at work right now so I can't check to be absolutely sure.

From looking in the various mods, it looks like it's included with Run Silent, Run Deep. It does not appear to be included in TMO without RSRDC.

Yep, Lurker has it in several areas, so it's there, Here is a SS of it....have to compare it to the real thing, but I assume whoever made it did a good job.

"PEGGY!!??!? Yeah, right!"
LOL Thank you so much guys. I'll keep digging on this site and see what floats up. I asked the question because I see on my copy of SILENT HUNTER COMMAND EDITION, the IJN YUBARI look pretty dog gone good. It would be a great addition to the SH4 mission editor.
