Default U-52 Reporting Engine Troubles

Starboard Diesel showing hot RPMs after surfacing and switching from Electric to Diesel. All Stop and restart (as evidenced by the attached photos) does nothing. U-boat runs slower as if running off Port Diesel only when switching from Electric to Diesel.

Chief has no idea. Sending a message to other Captains to see if their more experienced chiefs have met and solved a similar issue.

I should also add that this all takes place after my batteries are declared recharged. I thought my Starboard engine was working to recharge the batteries, but after completion seems to be stuck there.

Are you using SH3 Commander? If so, do you have sabotage/malfunctions selected?

No. But that's next on my list to get working again. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the battery charging. Just freezes up after finishing its charge instead of reverting back to normal. If I go into the options screen to save after the battery is charged and then back into the control room, the Starboard engine unfreezes again and returns to normal.

Not a huge issue. Just forces me to save everytime I surface since I have to go to that screen anyway, which I should do anyway to be safe.

A related problem perhaps?

I sometimes end up with my speed "hung up". No matter what I set my speed to, it "sticks" at 2 or 3 or 4 knots or whatever. The RPMs don't respond either.

However, if I set to "back" (and I dont even have to wait for the boat to actually back up) and ring forward again, it clears right up.

Be careful with the malfunctions/sabotage; while its nice for realism there are a ton of mods that aren't compatible with it.

Those sailors won't be happy when you mention the word "oars".
